Recipe for Saffron rice

Ingredients:
- 1 cup of basmati rice
- 2 cups of water
- 1/4 tsp of saffron threads
- 2 tbsp of butter
- 1/2 tsp of salt
Instructions:
- Rinse the rice in cold water until the water runs clear, then drain.
- Soak the saffron threads in 2 tbsp of warm water and set aside.
- In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the rice, salt, and butter to the pot and stir.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the water has been absorbed and the rice is tender.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork, then pour the saffron water over the rice and stir gently.
- Cover the pot again and let it sit for an additional 5 minutes to allow the saffron flavour to infuse the rice.
- Serve hot as a side dish to your favourite meal.
